All I can say is WOW. We loved everything about this beautiful little restaurant from the cozy vibe, cheery staff and incredible smells emanating from the kitchen. My wife and I recently dined at Salt Dish after hearing copious amounts of praise from locals. It 100% lived up to the hype, and more. I think this was one of the best meals I’ve had of late. And can see it becoming a regular stop while in Geraldton. Chef Csaba and his wife Tash are lovely. I spoke with Chef Csaba after our meal as I was glowing with delight and you can genuinely see the love and passion that goes into his food. We talked for a while both eyes lighting up with excitement over the food. It made my night. Every dish was lick the plate delicious. The balance of texture, flavours, complexity balanced with restraint created a synergy of wonderment every time we took a bite. Eyes roll back. Smiles all round. Repeat. And my wife will not forgive me if I don’t say that the “salads” on each dish easily held their own as they were amazing. For entree, we ordered the salmon and chèvre croquettes, calamari and beetroot risotto. While the croquettes and calamari were fantastic, let’s take a minute on this risotto as it was my favourite dish of the night. Just superb. A perfect balance of sweet and acid from the beetroot, richness from the labne and Parmesan and savoury from the sage and baby spinach. Different textures dance on your palate and it paired superbly with the Pinot Noir. Good Lord. I will remember this dish for a long time. For mains we ordered the barramundi with lentil salad and “chips”, and the lamb ragu pappardelle. The barramundi was beautifully cooked with a lovely crispy skin. It paired perfectly with the lentil salad which added a meatiness to the delicate fish. BUT, the star of the dish were those potatoes. Thrice cooked wedges of wonder. I’ve never had better potato chips. Hands down. The cooking technique was perfect. Crisp exterior, fluffy interior, and no oiliness. The

I almost did not dine here because when I looked in through the windows all the tables were taken, but to my surprise they had tables behind the kitchen and outdoor seatings at the back of the restaurant! The risotto and slow cooked lamb shoulder were delicious, very flavourful. The iced coffee with cream and ice-cream was mediocre, because the ice-cream was not rich in taste. Service was great!

This charming café sits in a vintage building and includes a bright garden area. The seasonal menu offers comforting dishes that are both satisfying and well prepared. It is a popular local spot known for its reliable coffee and welcoming service. The use of local ingredients keeps the menu fresh and interesting.

This restaurant/cafe is amazing fast service even though it was busy. I ordered a coffee and orange juice first. The coffee was perfection it was not bitter, it didnt need any sugar because it was so smooth! The orange jusice was super fresh and not sour, I had the quinao ,brussel sprout salad. This dish was mind blow the different falvours worked so well, it had so many different lays of flavour being able to taste every element, the honey, then hits of spring onion, then the pumpkin, a little bit of fetta, then some parsley, the chef did an amazing job. I really can not wait to go back and try other things. Its not the cheapest however the quality of ingredients really shows.all together 38 dollars. The waiters where quiet welcoming and gave me some good pointers when it cane to choosing between items. Great cafe!!!!

Gorgeous! Great Geraldton flavoured experience - just a hop-skip from an early-morning swim in the pristine bay - lots always going on there! And gorgeous coffee, sour cherry brownies, amazing food, too! Lovely, kind friendly people, wonderful est indoors or out - back and front are both very pleasing venues - lots of little private places, free parking nearby, dinner some evenings. Loved it, back every 7:30am morning now! Recommend. XS

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Salt Dish in Geraldton WA. Staff were very accommodating seeing as we needed power to work, talk and eat. We thoroughly enjoyed the Smashed Avocado with poached eggs and the Chilli egg on toast and wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again Front appears small but there’s a room out the back and a cosy alfresco at the rear. 1 hour parking out from or 2 hour parking within a 2min walk (all free)

We were lucky to find a spot for Friday lunch right before the place was filled up by locals. We ordered the zucchini flowers with goat cheese, lamb ragout, yuzu & ginger cured tuna (my personal favorite), and pork belly. All were delicious with great layers of flavours and beautiful platings. Definitely one of the best in our WA trip!

Arrived here early morning, was served promptly. We sat on the back patio which was pleasant. Ordered the Acocado smash which was served on a tasty piece of sourdough, it had some additional topping- sweet potato and some cream thing. Very tasty and very satisfied. Lovely attentive server! Delicious coffee.

Very nice restaurant, great atmosphere, pleasant service and the food was really great. The first time we tried the classic lunch, which charmed us so much that we had to come again a few days later. The second time we came for dinner where you could choose a 2 or 3 course menu. The menu consisted of a starter, a main course and then you could choose whether you still had room for dessert. The choice was very rich and the prepared courses were of a very high standard. In addition to being really tasty, the dishes also looked perfect.
